Prescott Valley Police had a chase on their hands after a driver and passenger of a speeding car attempted to evade police on foot through a residential area Wednesday morning. Officials say officers saw a vehicle speeding on Viewpoint Drive north of Highway 89 at around 9:30 a.m. The vehicle was clocked at speeds of over 50 miles per hour. Moments after the chase ensued, the driver jumped out of the car, while it was still moving, in the 71-hundred block of Sablewood Drive and began running through yards of homes. The car veered and crashed into a parked car. It was then a woman got out and started running. Both were captured minutes later. The driver, 29-year-old Colton Rose from Prescott and 27-year-old Tia Reid from Chino Valley were arrested and booked on a slew of charges related to the incident and drug possession. No officers were injured in the incident.
