Prescott Valley Man Arrested After Claiming A School Bus Hit Him After It Ran A Stop Sign

A Prescott Valley man was arrested Friday on 30 counts of unlawful imprisonment after he claimed a school bus hit his vehicle after running a stop sign. Police were called to Castle Canyon Mesa at around 2:30 p.m., after a man called 911 stating that a Humboldt School District bus, with 30 kids on board, ran a stop sign and struck his vehicle. He said the accident happened at Knights Way and North Treasure Drive. When police arrived they found Ronald Anderson had parked his truck across the lanes of traffic to block the intersection to prevent the bus from driving away. He told police that he was detaining the bus driver at “the crime scene.” Police looked at the vehicle and investigated the matter. It was determined there wasn’t a collision. Anderson was arrested and charged with 30 counts of unlawful imprisonment, as well as possession of a firearm during a felony offense and false reporting. He remains in the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.
