Prescott Police Arrest A Man For Residential Trespassing Friday Morning

A man was arrested early Friday morning for residential trespassing in Prescott. Prescott Police officers responded to the 11-hundred block of East Gurley Street at around 1:40 a.m. on reports of a trespassing in progress at the residential apartments. When officers got to the scene, they discovered the suspect had knocked on a front door of someone he didn’t know, asking to fill his water bottle. The resident said yes, in which the suspect entered the apartment, sat on the couch, and refused to leave after the resident asked him multiple times. The resident left his apartment and called the police. Officers attempted to contact the suspect, who was still on the couch and now handling knives and speaking incoherently. The suspect continuously ignored law enforcement, and eventually closed and locked the front door of the apartment. Prescott Police Department SWAT team was called to the scene, where they deployed less lethal munitions into the apartment, causing the suspect to eventually surrender and exit the apartment around 5:30 a.m. The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Adam Tucker. Tucker was medically cleared by the Prescott Fire Department for minor injuries and has since been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of first degree burglary, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
