The bald eagle enclosures at Lynx Lake and Verde River will be lifted Friday. Prescott National Forest officials says no young eagles were produced at Lynx Lake this year, so the area can be reopened. In The Ladders area of the Verde River, bald eagles there produced two young eagles. The area is located south of Camp Verde, along a two-mile stretch of the Verde River and is the area of the Verde Falls downstream to below Sycamore Canyon. The areas are closed yearly in December so area bald eagles can be protected during mating season. The forest service and Arizona Game and Fish thanks everyone for their cooperation regarding the closures this year.
