A Prescott man, who claimed to be a Marine veteran and owned a veteran-based moving company, has been sentenced for lying about his military service. Forty-two-year old John Fullen was the owner and operator of American Veteran Movers, based in Prescott. The investigation uncovered Fullen never served in the military and also obtained veteran status on his Arizona driver’s license. He also registered two vehicles in his name and obtained Purple Heart plates for them using forged documents. He also has a tattoo of the Marine Corps insignia on his arm. A former customer told police he hired Fullen based on his military service in the past. He was sentenced to ten-and-a-half years in prison on Monday.
