A Prescott man has been arrested after shooting his roommate after an argument turned violent Tuesday night. Prescott Police say they responded to the call at around 6:08 p.m. in the 900 block of Panicum Drive. When they arrived, they located the victim, 53-year-old Thomas Banuelos, with a gunshot wound to his leg. Banuelos was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment in stable condition. Investigators determine Banuelos’ roommate 42-year-old Adam Creamer of Prescott, and Banuelos were involved in an argument, which turned violent when Creamer got a 12-gauge shotgun and shot him in the upper leg. Creamer admitted to police that he shot Banuelos, but claimed it was in self-defense. Banuelos was not armed at time of the shooting. Additionally, Creamer was found to be a prohibited possessor of firearms. He was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on multiple charges.
