Prescott High School football coach Cody Collett is resting after a serious situation last Friday night during the Badgers game against Camelback High School in Prescott. Collett issued a statement on the team’s Facebook page Tuesday. Collett was ejected from the game in the first quarter. He says the reason he did that, was because he was having chest pains and discomfort. He immediately went to Yavapai Regional Medical Center to get checked out. Collett says his heart rate was 240 and doctors attempted to calm it down, but it didn’t work. Doctors then restarted his heart, which got the heart rate to finally come down. The Badgers coach had two stints put in on Saturday and he says he will have a third put in next month. Collett says he has stepped away from the team for a couple of weeks, until that next procedure. He says he will return to the sidelines when he feels it’s safe. The Badgers are 2-0 this season and will take on the Washington Rams this Friday in Phoenix.
