There will be pile burns this week on the Kaibab National Forest. Fire managers plan to burn piles near Parks and south of Bill Williams Mountain near Williams. Smoke will be visible from Parks and possibly from Williams. Pile burns are planned on the Tusayan Ranger District as well. The burns are part of the forest’s winter burn program, where around five-thousand acres of piles were planned to burn on the Tusayan and Williams ranger districts, and another 25-hundred acres of piles were set to burn on the North Kaibab Ranger District this winter.
