One Person Killed In A Three Vehicle Accident Thursday On Townsend Winona Road

One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on Townsend Winona Road near Flagstaff. Coconino County Sheriff’s officials say deputies responded to the scene at Rio Rancho Road at around 5:28 p.m. The initial investigation shows a truck was heading eastbound on Townsend Winona Road and collided with another vehicle and a motorcycle. Both were traveling westbound. The circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation. The accident claimed the life of the person driving the motorcycle. One other person was injured and taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. Townsend Winona Road was closed in both directions between Rio Rancho Road and Slayton Ranch Road for some time last night. The accident remains under investigation.
