One Man Seriously Injured After A Shooting In Prescott Valley Monday Morning.

A man is in stable condition after a verbal argument between two men turned violent Monday in Prescott Valley. Police were called to the 83-hundred block of State Route 69 at around 11:15 a.m. The incident began as a verbal argument between the men, escalated to a physical confrontation when punches were exchanged. One man, later identified as 40-year-old Nathan Alan Fleitz of Prescott Valley, then fired a shot from a handgun, striking the other man in the abdomen. Medical personnel responded to treat the injured man. He was taken to Yavapai Medical Center East to meet up with a helicopter to take him to a Phoenix area hospital. Fleitz fled the scene on foot, but he was later found in the 32-hundred block of Tani Road, where police arrested him without incident. No officers were injured during the incident or during the arrest of the suspect.
