NAU freshman Oakland Fort nails a 35-foot shot at the buzzer to lead the ninth-seeded Lumberjacks to a 81-80 upset win over top-seeded Eastern Washington to advance to the semifinals of the Big Sky Men’s Basketball Tournament Tuesday. The shot by Fort tied his career-high with 15 points. Nik Mains and Xavier Fuller each led the Jacks with 16 points. NAU head coach Shane Burcar said after the game “for our guys to keep believing and doing it and we played like we were the number-one seed through the entire game. If you don’t have a winning mindset you can’t be successful.” NAU will play either fourth-seeded Montana or fifth-seeded Idaho State Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. and we’ll have the game on The Legend 93.5/AM 930 in Flagstaff and Fun Oldies 1450 AM in Prescott starting with the pregame show at 6 p.m.
