The NAU men’s basketball team was supposed to begin their season in Tucson Wednesday night against the Arizona Wildcats. NAU Athletics announced today the game has been canceled due to the result of an isolated COVID-19 incident within the Lumberjacks men’s basketball program. NAU Athletic Director Mike Marlow said in a statement; “Our top priority will remain the health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. We appreciate the collaboration with the University of Arizona, the Big Sky Conference, the Pac-12 Conference, as well as the continued first-class care of our sports medicine team.” NAU and Arizona are working on the possibility of rescheduling the game.
