NAU’s Eloi Kwete Was Named Big Sky Defensive Player Of The Week Monday

NAU senior defensive lineman Eloi Kwete was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week Monday. The Central High School produce led the Jacks defense in their 28-14 upset of 13th-ranked Montana Grizzlies Saturday. Kwete racked up four sacks, with three coming in the fourth quarter, and forced a fumble that led to an NAU touchdown on the ensuing drive. Kwete was also part of a defense that held Montana to just 18 yards rushing this past Saturday. He is the first NAU player to be chosen for a weekly award so far this season. The Jacks will be on the road this week, as they travel to Sacramento to battle the eighth-ranked Sacramento State Hornets.
