The NAU Lumberjacks women’s basketball team will play in the semifinals of the Big Sky Women’s Basketball Tournament as they knocked off the Montana Grizzlies in the quarterfinals, 75-57 Tuesday. The Jacks will play eighth-seeded Northern Colorado Wednesday. The Bears upset top-seeded Idaho State 72-54 to advance. Lauren Orndoff led the Jacks with 18 points and Khiarica Rasheed had a double double with 17 points and ten rebounds. Four Lumberjacks scored in double figures in the win. NAU and Northern Colorado split the season series, each winning a game on the road. The Bears beat NAU back on January 31st in Flagstaff 61-49. The Jacks returned the favor about a week later with a 77-71 win in Greeley. The semifinal game tips off at 5:30, right after the men’s first round game between NAU and Eastern Washington.
