The NAU women’s basketball team got a big win on the road Wednesday against the Cal Baptist Lancers, 110-104, in double overtime. The Lumberjacks got out to a slow start, shooting just 5-of-19 from the field in the first quarter, but shot a blistering 63-percent in the second to lead by one at halftime. The Jacks built a 14 point lead with just under eight minutes to play, but the Lancers stormed back to force overtime. NAU outscored Cal Baptist 21-15 in the second overtime to get the win. Nyah Moran led the Jacks with a career high 25 points and Emily Rodabaugh added 22 points, on six three-pointers, and grabbed nine rebounds in the win. The Jacks are 2-2 and return home to the Rolle Activity Center Sunday to take on the Buccaneers of Park University Gilbert, before heading to the Caribbean to play in the Paradise Jam next week.
