The NAU Women’s basketball team went up to the Pacific Northwest and picked up their first two Big Sky wins after a sweep of a weekend series against Eastern Washington. On Saturday, the Jacks were led by former Coconino Panther J.J. Nakai with 18 points and Regan Schenck had ten points, eight rebounds and seven assists in a 89-60 win over the Eagles. Then on Sunday, the Jacks were led once again by Nakai with 21 points in a 69-55 win. Jacey Bailey had a double double with 14 points and ten rebounds with Schenck once again flirting with a triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the win. The Jacks are 3-1 on the season and will step out of conference play for the next few weeks as they travel to Phoenix to play Grand Canyon on Wednesday.
