The NAU women’s basketball team is on to the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament for the first time since 2007, after a 74-69 win over Sacramento State in the first round Monday afternoon. Khiarica Rasheed and Jacey Bailey led the Jacks each with 18 points in the win. Senior Kaleigh Paplow added 11 points and 12 rebounds, but left the game in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. Her status for Tuesday’s quarterfinal game is unknown. The Jacks outscored Sac State 31-19 in the fourth quarter. NAU will now take on top-seeded Idaho Tuesday morning. The Vandals won both meetings in the regular season this year by double-digits. The game will tip off at 11 a.m.
