The NAU women’s basketball team had a chance to sweep the season series over both Montana schools Saturday night. However, the Montana Grizzlies outscored NAU 14-11 in the fourth quarter and 6-2 in overtime as they beat the Lumberjacks, 80-76, in the Skydome. Regan Schenck led the Jacks with 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in the loss. In the game, Schenck set a new school-record for most career assists. Montana Oltrogge had nine points and 11 rebounds and Fatoumata Jaiteh added 12 points and seven rebounds in the loss. NAU now falls into a two-way tie for fourth place in the Big Sky, a half game up on Eastern Washington for sixth-place and a half game back of Montana for second. The Jacks head on the road for three games, starting Monday in Pocatello, Idaho and the Idaho State Bengals. Tip time is at 7 p.m.
