The NAU men’s basketball program had to cancel their next two Big Sky Conference games Thursday, due to COVID protocols within the program. The Lumberjacks were suppose to travel to Cedar City, Utah to take on Southern Utah on Saturday, then return home to face Sacramento State on Monday. The next game on the schedule is at Northern Colorado on Saturday, January 15th. NAU had a game against Idaho postponed earlier in the season, but that has been rescheduled for Monday, January 17th in Moscow, Idaho. Saturday’s game against Southern Utah has been rescheduled for Monday January 31st. So far Monday’s game against Sacramento State, has not been rescheduled. The Big Sky Conference announced this week that schools can reschedule games, if the two schools can find a mutually beneficial time and date. So far, Saturday’s NAU women’s game is still on against Southern Utah. Tip time is at 2 p.m. in the Skydome. However, the women’s basketball team’s game that was canceled at Eastern Washington earlier this year, has been rescheduled for Monday, January 24th.
