NAU Men Fall To Weber State In The Home Finale, Women Beat Weber On The Road Saturday

The NAU Men’s basketball team finished its 2021-22 home regular season with a loss to Weber State Saturday, 73-49, at the Skydome. The Jacks went on a 11-0 run in the first half to get to within one point, but the Wildcats went on a 7-0 run to end the half and took over the game from there. Nik Mains led the Jacks with 11 points as NAU finished with 39-percent shooting in the game. Koby McEwan led the Wildcats with 20 points as Weber State shot 56-percent from the floor. The Jacks head on the road for the last two regular season games of the year, starting at Eastern Washington Thursday night at 7 p.m. The NAU women’s team is battling for a good seed in the Big Sky Tournament and got a big win on the road Saturday at Weber State. Miki Maio led the Jacks with 19 points as NAU beat Weber State, 89-77. Lauren Ornfoff had 18 in the win. NAU will return to Flagstaff and finish their season in the Skydome against Eastern Washington Wednesday and Idaho on Friday, both games tip off at 6 p.m.
