The Cinderella run for the NAU men’s basketball team came to an end Wednesday night with a 85-78 loss to the Montana State Bobcats in the Big Sky Men’s Tournament championship game. NAU tried to hang around all game long, but the Bobcats got NAU in foul trouble in the second half. Carson Towt led the Jacks with 16 points and nine rebounds, but fouled out late in the second half. Xavier Fuller added 15 points and eight rebounds in his final game at NAU. Freshman Oakland Fort and Jalen Cone each scored 14 points for NAU. RaeQuan Battle led all-scorers with 25 points for the Bobcats, who will advance into the NCAA Tournament. NAU ends its season with a record of 12-and-23, but an incredible run in the Big Sky Tournament.
