The NAU basketball teams will head to Boise, Idaho for the Big Sky Conference Basketball Tournaments next week with a lot of momentum. The NAU women will head to Boise on a three-game winning streak after their 79-68 win over Northern Colorado in the Skydome Saturday afternoon. Kaleigh Paplow scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in her last game at home. Khiarica Rasheed added 17 points in the win for NAU. The Jacks will play Sacramento State Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the first round of the tournament. The men pulled off an upset of their own with a 89-78 overtime win on the road in Greeley. Bernie Andre led the jacks with a career-high 26 points, 23 of which came in the second half and in overtime. Carlos Hines added 14 and Nick Mains came off the bench to score 13 for the Jacks, for the first win in Greeley for NAU since 2006. The Jacks will play the first game of the Big Sky Tournament Wednesday morning. Tip time with be at 8:30 a.m.
