The NAU men’s and women’s basketball teams were winners Thursday night against Southern Utah. Cameron Shelton hit a pair of free throws with four-seconds to play as the men’s team rallied from eleven points down to get a big win on the road over the Thunderbirds, 75-72. Bernie Andre had a season-high 19 points and Brooks Debisschop had 12 points in the win. The Jacks were without guard Ted McCree, who missed the game after being suspended for violation of team rules. NAU will be back in action Saturday afternoon in Greeley, Colorado as they battle Northern Colorado. Tip time is at 2 p.m.The women picked up 19 points from Nina Radford and 18 points from Jacey Bailey as the Lumberjacks beat the Thunderbirds, 84-76 in the Skydome. The victory was NAU’s fourth straight win in Big Sky play. Regan Schenck added 12 points off the bench in the win. The women will be back in the Skydome Saturday to take on the Northern Colorado Bears. Tip time is at 2 p.m.
