The NAU men’s basketball team battled with Southern Utah Saturday in Cedar City, Utah. Bernie Andre and Ted McCree each scored 19 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Jacks fell to the Thunderbirds, 84-82. NAU tied the game at 82, until Apollo High School grad, Dre Marin hit a shot with about one second left for the win for Southern Utah. For NAU, Andre had a double-double as he also pulled down ten rebounds in the game. Luke Avdolovic hit four three-pointers and scored 16 points. Carlos Hines also had a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds in the loss. The Jacks now return home for four straight games, starting Thursday night against Sacramento State in the Skydome. Tip time is at 6:30 p.m.
