The NAU Lumberjacks ran into a buzzsaw in the 18th-ranked Sacramento State Hornets Saturday, falling 44-0.  NAU couldn’t get much going as at halftime, Sac State had 517 yards of total offense to just 37 yards for NAU as the Hornets led 37-0.  The Hornets had 665 yards for the game, while Jacks mustered 226.  The last time NAU was shutout in a game, was August 30, 2013 in Tucson against Arizona.  Freshman quarterback R.J. Martinez was 19-of-32 for 136 yards with an interception.  Sacramento State quarterbacks were 26-of-32 for 410 yards and three touchdowns with an interception.  The Jacks fall to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the Big Sky.  NAU will regroup and head to Idaho to battle the Vandals next Saturday.  Pregame will be at noon with the kickoff at 1 p.m.
