The NAU Lumberjacks football team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 55-21 win over Western New Mexico in the Skydome Saturday. Case Cookus was 12-of-21 for 357 yards and four touchdowns and Joe Logan had two catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman wide receiver Hendrix Johnson had his first 100 game of his college career. He had four catches for 107 yards. NAU had over 600 yards of total offense in the win. The Jacks will head to Normal, Illinois to take on the 12th-ranked Illinois State Redbirds. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m.
