The NAU Lumberjacks finished the 2021 spring football season with two straight wins after a 19-9 victory over the Idaho Vandals Saturday in the Skydome. Jacks kicker Luis Aguilar booted four field goals and the NAU defense kept Idaho out of the end zone in NAU’s first win over Idaho inn eleven games, the last win against the Vandals coming in 1986. Hendrix Johnson had four catches for 121 yards and Keondre Wudtee 13-of-23 for 244 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came near the end of the first half with a two-yard pass to wide receiver Coleman Owen. Idaho outgained NAU 382-to-320, but NAU got the win. NAU finishes the season with a 3-2 record. The next time NAU will take the field will be at home in the Skydome as they take on the Bearkats from Sam Houston State on Thursday night, September 2nd.
