Multiple crews responded to a fire Tuesday night in Prescott Valley. Crews from Central Arizona Fire and Medical and the Prescott Fire Department arrived at U-Pick-It salvage yard at around 11 p.m. While en route, crews reported seeing a large glow on the horizon in the direction of the recycling yard. First-arriving engines discovered a fully engulfed vehicle recycling machine with fire beginning to spread to a sizable debris pile. Firefighters quickly contained the fire to the area of origin, stopping it from spreading into other areas of the facility. Crews remained on scene throughout the night working towards complete extinguishment. There were no injuries or damage to equipment.
