Units from Prescott Fire, Central Arizona Fire and Medical and the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Lynx Lake area this afternoon when two hikers called for help. Crews arrived to find one patient hiked off the Salida Gulch Trail. The second patient had to be assisted off the trial by Prescott Fire crews using a stokes basket. Both patients were together on a hike when they ran out of water and were not feeling well. Both were taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center West for non-life threatening injuries. Authorities remind residents and visitors that if you are planning on hiking the outdoors, this time of year, to be prepared for the heat and bring plenty of water with you.
