More areas that were evacuated from the Pipeline and Haywire fires have been downgraded. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday that the following areas have been downgraded from “Go” to “Set” status. Crater Estates, Moon Crater, West Alpine Ranchos and the private properties along Highway 89 north from Wupatki Trails to Sacred Mountain Trading Post. Even though the evacuation orders have been lifted in those areas, much of the forest land in that area remains closed. In addition, East Alpine Ranches and Highway 89 North from Sacred Mountain Trading Post and Medicine Valley have been downgraded from “Set” to “Ready.” All areas within the burn areas remain closed, along with the Cinder Lakes OHV Area.
