The Monsoon Season is right around the corner. Starting this weekend it may look like it’s starting now. The National Weather Service says a piece of energy that’s moved through earlier this week will come back into the picture Sunday and Monday. As it does, it will draw up moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. A upper level high will park over the Four Corners area, thus resembling the Monsoon. Forecasters say it’s not THE Monsoon, but since we are in early May it’s just a Monsoon preview so to speak. There is a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the forecast across Northern Arizona staring Saturday and lasting through midweek.
