Students at Mount Elden Middle School in Flagstaff don’t have class today after a student allegedly assaulted another student with a knife Monday at the school. Flagstaff Police say the incident caused an injury to the victim at around 9:30 a.m. FUSD officials say staff at the school immediately went to the scene and got the knife away from the student and tended to the victim. The situation was secured before police arrived. When officers got to the school they took the attacking student into custody and was removed from the school. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
