An NAU student, who was found dead last month, passed away from drowning in the Rio de Flag. The cause of 21-year-old Kain Turner’s death was released by the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday. Before he was found, Turner’s family sent information that he had been missing. The toxicology report stated Turner had a blood alcohol content of .202, which is nearly three times the legal limit. There were no other indicators of health problems or drugs in his system when he passed away. His body was found in the Rio de Flag near 2 South Beaver Street at around 7:45 p.m. on the night of December 3rd. Police and EMT’s responded and found Turner not breathing, face down in the water.
