Man Pleads Guilty To Second Degree Murder In Connection In The Death Of A 37-Year-Old Woman

A Happy Jack man will spend the next 25 years in prison in connection with the death of a 37-year-old woman earlier this year. Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies found the body of a dead woman at Bly Pit in the Blue Ridge area back in April. Detectives followed clues to a home in the Blue Ridge community where they found evidence of the crime. They took 62-year-old Patrick Nagel in for questioning during a traffic stop two days after the discovery. During the interview he admitted to striking 37-year-old Tika Young of Happy Jack several times while she was in bed. Nagel then told investigators he moved her to the Bly Pit area and left her there. He was booked on several charges related to the case. Nagel pled guilty to second degree murder Tuesday in Coconino County Superior Court and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
