A man was arrested after he started a fire in a field Thursday morning in Prescott Valley. Officers were called to the field near Great Western Boulevard. As officers approached the 27-year-old man, he started the fire. Officers were able to safely place the man into custody. Central Arizona Fire and Medical crews responded and put out the blaze. Officers say the man was possibly suffering from a mental health episode at the time. He was treated at the scene and taken to the Prescott Valley Police Department. The case is currently under investigation and no additional information is available.
