A man was arrested after admitting to killing his girlfriend in Prescott Monday evening. Prescott Police officers received notice from the Yavapai Regional Medical Center of a female victim with a gunshot wound. Further investigation revealed 36-year-old, Jason Warnock, shot his 31-year-old girlfriend, Skylar Hughes. Warnock then drove Hughes to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Warnock and Hughes were living together in a travel trailer near Williamson Valley Road and Iron Springs Road, where the incident took place. Warnock has been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on first-degree murder and misconduct involving weapons charges. The investigation is ongoing and Prescott Police asks anyone with any information about the case to call (928)-777-1925.
