Man Arrested After Breaking Into Prescott Tattoo Shop And Creating $100-Thousand Worth Of Damage Tuesday

A man traveling from California through Arizona was arrested Tuesday after breaking into and damaging a tattoo parlor in Prescott. Prescott Police officers responded to The Lion’s Den Tattoo Company in the 500-block of East Sheldon Street at around 9 a.m. After further investigation of the scene, officers learned that the suspect entered the business at around 1:45 a.m. and began breaking items, spraying tattoo ink over every surface, and destroying non-reusable tattoo supplies. Officers on the previous shift had seen a man covered in what looked like paint and took photographs of him, unaware of the crimes he had committed at the time. Officers were later able to locate 38-year-old Dylan Wiederholt, the suspect who was traveling from California through Arizona on a Greyhound Bus that he allegedly got kicked off of. Wiederholt told authorities he hitchhiked to Prescott and had been there for two weeks. Wiederholt didn’t have any ties to this business, but told law enforcement he wanted to be an apprentice and wanted to show his artistic abilities. Wiederholt has since been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on felony charges of burglary and criminal damage. The total damage of Lion’s Den Tattoo Company is an estimated 100-thousand dollars.
