The Lynx Lake North Shore Day Use area will be closed to the public starting Monday. Prescott National Forest officials say the reason is due to a contractor beginning to pave the Lynx Lake Store Road at the North Shore Recreation Area. The project is expected to take two weeks to complete. The Lynx Lake South Shore Day Use area will remain open. Work is resuming on the paved sections of the Lynx Lake Trail 331 to maintain and restore the accessibility of the trail. Completion of that project is expected by November of 2022. The improvements to the Lynx Lake Recreation Area are being funded by the Great American Outdoors Act.
