A new fire called, The Fuller Fire, has burned at least two acres near the Village of Oak Creek and is producing visible smoke. The lightning-caused fire was reported at 9 p.m. Sunday. Winds from passing thunderstorms created a small uptick in fire behavior last night. However, the Fuller Fire is currently experiencing low fire behavior and is creeping and smoldering in grass and juniper. Smoke will remain visible throughout the day while crews work to contain the fire. Smoke impact is expected to be minimal due to the fire’s small size and the high relative humidity. Ground crews plan to construct fire line while a helicopter conducts bucket drops using water sourced from a Sedona golf resort. No structures are being threatened.
