A malfunction of the landing gear of a single-engine aircraft caused a brief interruption in airport operations Saturday morning at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. Airport officials say just after 9 a.m. the pilot reported a mechanical issue after takeoff and returned to the airport. Upon landing, the aircraft experienced a landing gear malfunction and left the runway. There was a brief interruption in airport operations while the damaged aircraft was being removed. There were no injuries. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
