The Kaibab National Forest has lifted its fire restrictions as of Tuesday morning. Officials say due to significant and widespread precipitation across the forest, in all three districts, the restrictions were lifted. The area closure protecting the Bill Williams Mountain watershed is also lifted so visitors can once again camp, hike, and drive in the popular recreation areas. While all fire restrictions are currently lifted, forest visitors must always use caution with campfires and other potential ignition sources. For more information on which recreation sites will open and remain closed, log onto the Kaibab National Forest website.
