Interstate 40 will be narrowed to one lane each direction while construction continues on the West Flagstaff Bridge at Exit 191, the Flagstaff Business Route exit, through October. The interstate will be reduced to one east and westbound lane between Route 66 and Flagstaff Ranch Road. In addition, there will be a 14-foot vehicle restriction, and a reduced speed limit of 55 miles-per-hour. Current closures of the on and off ramps for I-40 eastbound at the West Flagstaff Bridge will continue, and drivers needing to access Route 66 via the 1-40 Business Loop will have to exit at the Flagstaff Ranch Road exit. Construction on the west Flagstaff Bridge is expected to be completed by Fall of 2022.
