Grand Canyon National Park Lifts Water Conservation Measures At South Rim Monday

The Grand Canyon National Park has lifted its mandatory water conservation measures on the South Rim. As of Monday, water storage has reached an acceptable level. Water will be available at the Supai Tunnel on the North Kaibab Trail. Water at the mile-and-a-half and three-mile rest houses will continue to stay off until crews can make repairs to damaged pipes above the mile-and-a-half rest house. The National Park Service reminds all hikers to be prepared by having adequate water or a filter to treat creek water for drinking purposes. For more information log on to the park’s website.
