The Grand Canyon National Park is moving into winter restrictions Wednesday. Online reservations to camp at Mather Campground will no longer be available, and a first-come, first-serve basis will be used. Shuttle buses will still be running as long as road conditions aren’t too dangerous. The North Rim will be closed to all vehicles for the winter, and is expected to re-open in May of 2022. If you head to the Grand Canyon during winter driving conditions this winter, use caution and your best judgement before heading that way. For more information and to plan ahead, visit nps.gov.
