Gas prices are up slightly this week over last week across Arizona. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas is $3.05 a gallon, which is up a half-cent from a week ago. Spokesman Aldo Vazquez says expect prices to go up later in the month. He says, “May is likely to see much larger increases along demand spikes, as we get closer to the Memorial Day weekend.” He adds, “compared to May of 2019, U.S. gasoline demand is down only four percent and gas prices are an average two-cents more from two years ago.” In Flagstaff, gas prices are up a cent from last week, on average, to $3.16 a gallon. In Prescott, the average price of gas is up nearly two-cents a gallon to $3.06. Some stations in both cities are selling gas for $2.99 and lower.
