Gas prices across Arizona are down a little again this week. Triple-A Arizona says the average price of gas is down a cent-and-a-half to $3.57 a gallon. Even though Arizona’s prices are seeing a slight dip, the national average is higher. Triple-A spokesman Aldo Vazquez says you can point to one example on why prices are starting to go back up around the country. He says, “in the past few weeks we have seen the price of a barrel of oil slowly work its way from the mid-60s to the low 80s.” Vazquez adds, “the primary reason (for the rise) is the global economic optimism, whether well founded or not, that the worst of COVID-19 may soon be behind us.” In Flagstaff, the average price of gas is down two-and-a-half cents a gallon to $3.77. Prices vary depending where you are in the city. On the west side, gas prices are around $3.79 a gallon, however in East Flagstaff you can find gas for $3.39 a gallon. In Prescott, the average price of gas is down a cent this week to $3.50 a gallon.
