Gas prices continue to fall across Arizona. Triple-A Arizona reports the price of regular gas is down 14-cents a gallon on average to $4.72 a gallon. Diesel is down 13-cents a gallon from last week to $5.49 a gallon. The average price of gas and diesel has declined in the state for nearly a month. Triple-A spokesman Aldo Vazquez says two key factors are playing into the fall of prices at the pump. He says, “less expensive oil obviously means less expensive gasoline as it counts for 60-percent of the total cost that you pay at the pump.” He also says consumers are fueling up less than normal, despite this being the pinnacle of the summer driving season, so the combination of the two has driven prices lower. In Flagstaff, the price of gas is down 11-cents a gallon this week to $4.83 on average. Diesel is down 16-cents a gallon to $5.59. Some stations are selling gas for $4.69 and lower. In Prescott, the average price of gas is down eight-cents a gallon to $4.80 this week. Diesel is down over six-cents a gallon to $5.62 this week.
