FUSD Schools, And Others, Closed Monday Ahead Of Strong Winter Storm

The Flagstaff Unified School District made the call Sunday for a snow day Monday ahead of a strong winter storm heading toward the area. The storm is expected to dump 15-to-21 inches of snow in Flagstaff between Monday and Tuesday. Coconino Community College also called a snow day for Monday. The Williams Unified School District decided to use two snow days for Monday and Tuesday. FUSD is on remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Officials say since there are some limited services still being offered away from home, they want to ensure the safety of staff. FUSD says a decision on Tuesday will be made late Monday or Tuesday morning.
