FUSD Reassigns Flagstaff High School Principal Tony Cullen, Dave Roth Takes Over On An Interim Basis

The Flagstaff Unified School District has reassigned Flagstaff High School principal Tony Cullen. The move was announced on Tuesday. Taking Cullen’s place will be former Coconino and Ponderosa high school principal Dave Roth, on an interim bases. Roth was also superintendent for the Coconino County Accommodation School District. FUSD Superintendent Michael Penca said in an email that the move takes effect Wednesday. Penca says “Dave’s leadership skills and experiences will be an asset for providing direction and support to students and families, and for a successful 2021-2022 school year at Flagstaff High School.” Cullen is a graduate of Flagstaff High School and Northern Arizona University. There’s no word on what caused the move, or what Cullen’s role will be at FUSD.
