Another member of the Navajo Code Talkers has passed away. Alfred K. Newman served in the Marines and was a private first class. He served in the South Pacific during World War Two. Newman was part of the 1st Battalion, 21st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. He grew up and lived on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Newman died over the weekend at 94-years-old. Of the 400-plus Navajo Code Talkers, only eight remain.
